You may have noticed a big change to the Tiller Console recently! A fresh look, things moved around, and easier mobile access. This is a starting point, and not the finish line. Feel free to share your feedback and let us know what you love, what's not working, and what would make it better as we continue evolving this new version of Tiller.
What's New
Navigation and layout
The Console is centrally organized around your linked spreadsheets now with a left side navigation to help you quickly move throughout the Console with ease. When you select a linked spreadsheet you'll land on the Linked Accounts page for that spreadsheet.
Linked Accounts
Each spreadsheet now has its own Linked Accounts view so you can see and manage exactly which accounts are connected to that sheet. You can refresh accounts, manage links, and keep things organized without jumping around.
Note: "Refresh Accounts" still refreshes all of your connected accounts not just the ones linked to a specific spreadsheet. That's by design.
Better account search and sorting. You can now search your connected accounts by criteria such as the last four digits, account name, institution, aggregator, and more. Sort by most recently refreshed, or alphabetically. If you have many accounts, this will save you a lot of scrolling. The default is Oldest to Newest by Last Refresh, so those accounts that require a manual refresh always surface to the top of the list for easy access.
Mute accounts. Have a closed account you don’t want to delete or one that doesn’t refresh as frequently? You can now mute it. Muted accounts move to the bottom of your account list so they're out of the way without being fully removed. Easy to unmute anytime.
For access to all accounts connected to Tiller select the Accounts option from the left side menu.
You can access and customize Hello, Money from the left side navigation as well.
The profile menu including access to Subscription, Community, and Settings is now in the lower left corner of the Console.
Transactions
This feature is available for Direct Fills Google Sheets only at this time.
Your transactions for Google Sheets serviced by Direct Fills are now viewable right from the browser, including from your mobile phone. Edits will write directly back to your sheet.
To access your transactions for a spreadsheet select the spreadsheet in the left side navigation and then choose the Transactions option.
The Transactions view requires that your Transactions sheet have an Account ID column. This column has been a default column in the Foundation Template for many years now so most sheets will have it. However, if you see an error indicating that the Account ID column is required see these steps.
Editing transactions
You can edit transactions right in the Transactions view from the Tiller Console.
Click the Description to edit in line.
Click the category to update or select a category.
Click the arrow out to the far right to open the transaction editing panel and update the description, amount or category there.
In the future we expect that you will be able to
Add manual transactions
Split transactions
Reconcile transactions added manually with automated matches
Filter the Transactions view

Setting up Tiller on Mobile
Since the new Console has been designed with mobile in mind from the start you can add the Tiller Console as a "web app" so it appears on your home screen like any other app. This doesn't require you to download any app from the app store, it's just a couple clicks and you're done.
Use the guides below for Apple and Android phone to set up Tiller as a web app on your phone.
We do not have a native iOS or Android app. This new mobile-in-mind Console gives us the foundation for what an native app might be in the future.

Troubleshooting
Account ID column required error
This error will appear on the Transactions view on the Tiller Console when the Account ID column is missing or blank in the Transactions sheet. It's usually a hidden column by default in the Transactions sheet, but some older Google Sheets may not have this column.
To fix this error add a column called "Account ID" in your Transactions sheet. This column will fill going forward, but not retroactively. If you want to backfill the past/historical data you can filter the Transactions sheet by one account at a time and fill in the Account ID for each account using the data in the Balance History sheet.
