Updating your login credentials
If you change your username or password for your bank or you have a new card/account to pull in from an account connected to Tiller, you'll need to update the login via Accounts on the Tiller Console in order for Tiller to continue pulling your bank data.
Click Accounts in the left navigation menu.
Click the gear icon next to the institution, then click edit credentials.
Enter the new username or password
Click the “Update” button to save the new credentials.
Tiller will resume gathering your transaction details. At this point you can click “Save & Close” and you’ll be returned to the Tiller Console.
If your institution is connected via Plaid, you can also use the steps above to manually refresh your connection as you won't see a refresh button.
Adding a second log in for a connected institution
To connect an additional login for an institution that is already connected to your Tiller account, follow these steps:
Click Accounts in the left navigation menu.
Click Add Accounts
Search for the institution (just like you're adding any other new account)
Enter the your credentials
It might indicate you've already connected the institution, but it will allow you to add a second one.
Any accounts that are shared between your logins may appear in Accounts twice, so be careful to only link one instance of those accounts to your sheet.
Tip: If you are having trouble adding a second log in, try using a private browser.
You can give us feedback on your connection health and data quality using the up or down thumb on your Accounts. This is a completely subjective rating so give your gut level reaction. You can rate an institution more than once, and the more the better. Each time you refresh the Console page the rating will reset.
