Spending Trends 2.0
This version of the Spending Trends template is available for Google Sheets only at this time.
The Spending Trends 2.0 sheet is a simplified version of Spending Trends that includes basic cash flow calculations, a customizable donut chart that defaults to your top 10 spending categories plus a Simple Transaction Lookup tool.
The simple cash flow total is income minus expenses for the selected time period. It also shows the sum amount of transfers and the $ amount representing uncategorized transactions for your selected date range. It was inspired by the Category Tracker and the need for a quick transaction lookup + a better starting place when you’re diving into Tiller.
Installing or Restoring Spending Trends 2.0
If you want to try or need to restore the Spending Trends 2.0 sheet here are the steps.
Visit the Tiller Console at https://my.tiller.com
Select the spreadsheet where you want to install Spending Trends 2.0 from the left side navigation under spreadsheets
Click the Templates option near the top next to Linked Accounts
Search for Spending Trends
Choose Install or Restore
If the button says "Restore" this means you have Spending Trends 1.0 installed and restoring will give you the option to archive or overwrite the current spending trends sheet.
If you want to keep the Spending Trends 1.0 template choose the Archive option and it will rename the existing Spending Trends tab "Archived Spending Trends"
Note that we are no longer maintaining Spending Trends 1.0 so you won't be able to re-install or restore it.
If the button says "Install" it means you either don't have the Spending Trends installed or you have an unrecognized version.
If you get an error when trying to install that says "sheet with name already exists" open your sheet and delete the Spending Trends tab to install a recognized version.
